Second Reserve Champion Stallion in Westphalia
"Very good lines, very well-proportioned body parts – a young stallion that is second to none. Incredible shoulder freedom and load-bearing capacity. How he was able to make himself great again after the turn on the triangular track and then picked up extended once more. That was top notch. An absolutely outstanding young stallion, just as he stands here before us," Westphalia's breeding director Thomas Münch made no secret of his admiration for our Follower in his commentary. He made a triumphant appearance at the licensing in Westphalia. He was second Reserve Champion Stallion.
The sire Follow Him's Schönweide's was a premium stallion and completed highly rated stallion performance tests. The Oldenburg Verband named him Ia Main Premium Winner for his first crop of foals. Following top placings in riding and dressage horse tests, he won medium-level dressage tests under Ann-Kathrin Lachemann with scores of 9.0. Several of his sons were licensed, including Follow Up/Gonzalo Rodriguez Diaz, a finalist in the Bundeschampionat.
Follower is half-brother to two licensed stallions: Elton (by Escolar), who was successful in the Grand Tour at CDI Rotterdam/NED, ridden by Madeleine Witte-Vrees/NED, and Selectric (by Sezuan), the NRW state stud stallion who was also successful in Grand Prix competitions, ridden by Manuel Springhetti/AUT.
His dam's sire is Holsteiner De Kooning, one of the last direct sons of the great Donnerhall still used for breeding. His Grand Prix-successful offspring are led by Terhi Stegar's Grand Prix winner Dalou Shan. His twelve licensed sons also include the DSP winner and St. Georges-placed Del Re.
His granddam Walhalla produced the two licensed stallions Der schwarze Heinrich (by De Kooning) and Abu Dhabi (by Ampere; advanced-level Dr.), the Grand Prix dressage horse Dezdemona (by De Kooning)/Maria Ignatyeva/RUS, and other medium-level dressage horses. The Walhalla daughter Hann.Pr.St. Deja Vu (by De Kooning) produced the riding horse Bundeschampion London Eye (by La Vie).
Half-brother to the licensed Grand Prix stallions Selectric and Elton.
